Who has recorded a Facebook LIVE and then when it posts you groan at the thumbnail that was chosen for the world to see (or laugh at). Sometimes these odd looking screen captures help add a curiosity point that will increase clicks…but often they are just horrible.

Well you can change this (and so much more) if you did not know. It is totally worth it to make sure that you have your best foot forward if you are putting forth the time and effort to go LIVE for your brand and business. Also (that so much more part) there are ways that you can dial in your LIVE post to make sure it be as optimized as possible to reach the people you want to attract.

Here are the 5 Easy Steps to buff and polish up your Facebook LIVE posts:

(NOTE: They are different between Business Pages & Personal Profiles)

Business Page

Step 1: Go to your business page and select the “Video” tab.
Step 2: Click on the title of the video you want to edit.

Step 3: Click on the three dots and select “Edit Video”

Step 4:
Here you can update post text, add tags and select a better thumbnail for the video (there are many other things you can also dive into if you want)

Step 5: Select the thumbnail image you prefer or upload one that you like!

Personal Profile

Step 1: Go to your personal profile and select “Video” in the “More” drop-down.
Step 2: Click on the video you want to edit.

Step 3: Click on the three dots and select “Edit Video”.

Step 4: Here you can update post text, add tags and select a better thumbnail for the video (there are many other things you can also dive into if you want)
Step 5: Select the thumbnail image you prefer or upload one that you like!
